Collections Spotlight – Stoneware Jugs

Home/Collections Spotlight – Stoneware Jugs

Every week we shine a light on a different object from our collections that you may not have seen before. This week we have a selection of stoneware jugs dating to the nineteenth century and used to store wine, whiskey etc.  The jugs are from a number of establishments in and around Galway – the names of which were generally stamped on the top of the jar.
