The National Museum of Ireland’s Education Team come to Galway City Museum for an outreach event as part of Galway 2020 and the new exhibition, MONUMENT. This exhibition explores the Bronze Age communities who created the stone forts of the Aran Islands in Galway Bay such as Dún Aonghasa. Families can drop in to the museum to discover some of the secrets of surviving and thriving in the past in Ireland and get hands-on with some replicas of National Museum artefacts found on archaeological sites.
