The fort of Dún Aonghasa on Inis Mór is a key site in the Museum’s Monument exhibition, which explores some of Europe’s biggest and most impressive stone monuments located on some of Europe’s smallest islands. To learn about the history and importance of the site, join archaeologist Claire Cotter who excavated the site in the 1990s and has published two volumes on the archaeology of the Aran Islands and the stone forts of the western seaboard.
