Mahatma Gandi once said that “there is no beauty in the finest cloth if it makes hunger and unhappiness”. To mark Fashion Revolution Week, join Cathriona Naughton as she discusses Mahatma Gandi and Michael Davitt both of whose principles were shaped by their respective encounters with the garment industry. Both Gandhi and Davitt fought – without fighting – for economic independence, sustainability, workers’ rights and, perhaps more importantly of all, truth.
