As part of Galway 2020’s Project Baa Baa, which celebrates the cultural, economic and environmental contribution of sheep farming and its associated traditions, Karin Flatøy Svarstad will present an illustrated talk on North Atlantic native sheep and wool.

A native of Norway, Karin has been researching and working with wool for more than 40 years. Since 1995, she has focused on wool from sheep native to the Viking regions of the North Atlantic, including Norway, Shetland, Orkney, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland, the Outer Hebrides and the Isle of Man.

ADMISSION: Free |  OPENING TIMES: Tuesday to Saturday: 10:00 to 17:00 and from Easter to end of September on Sundays: 12:00 to 17:00 (Exhibitions close at 16:45)
