| FreeWritten from the trenches in 1915 and published the following year, Patrick MacGill’s The Great Push has been described as “one of the most famous of all war books […] the most vivid depiction of the actualities of war ever penned.” This one-man show with actor Gerry Conneely captures the humanity and pathos of MacGill and his comrades who went ‘over the top’ on the 25th of September 1915.
