Originally produced for RTÉ in the 1970s and 1980s by David and Sally ShawSmith, Hands is an acclaimed series of documentaries about Ireland’s waning craft traditions. Of Bees and Bee Skeps (1983) is a moving film about the traditional work of beekeeping and honey-harvesting. Special thanks to Sally Shaw-Smith for her permission to screen her film.
