Although this looks like a man-made object it is, in fact, a naturally made object called a mushroom stone. This mushroom stones was formed when a limestone boulder was undercut by water and formed this unusual shape. This one looks like an ancient cobbler’s anvil. Mushroom stones are formed by weathering or erosion and are often associated with legends and fairy tales.
