Dear Galway,
Wuhan in China all over the news,
Making the headlines with frightening reviews.
A brand new virus that can easily kill,
Nothing can stop it, not even a pill.

Leo’s speech had us all in fear,
But having no school it was hard not to cheer.
We quickly adapted to schooling from home,
Having no teachers we were in it alone.

All our sports put on hold,
Until we would see how it all would unfold.
If you had said “an All-Ireland in December”,
I would have laughed and said “no it’s always September”.

Covid gave us the freedom to do,
Whether old or something new.
Hand sanitizer and the face visor,
Will be required until we all get the Pfizer.
