Space & Venue Hire

Our Education Room is available to hire for talks, workshops or meetings.  The room is approximately 5m x 6.5m and will hold about 30 people in a lecture-style setting and up to 16 people seated around tables, depending on layout. There is a podium, DVD player and soundbar, wall-mounted projector and screen in the room (but currently no WiFi).

Other museum spaces may be also be available for hire. For rates and other enquiries please use the form below or call us on 091-532460. Please note that the museum does not cater for weddings or other personal functions. However, the award-winning Kitchen Café at Galway City Museum will happily provide catering to meet your requirements. Please contact the Kitchen Café directly to discuss catering.

MUSEUM OPENING TIMES

Galway City Museum is open Tuesday to Saturday on four daily timeslots; 10am, 11:30am, 2:00pm and 3:30pm.  Admission remains FREE but visitors will now require a ticket for their visit. Tickets can be booked online by visiting galwaycitymuseum.ie and will need to be presented either in printed format or on mobile phones at the main entrance to the museum.  In light of Covid-19 the number of visitors will be strictly controlled and those attending will have to adhere to correct social distancing and health and safety protocols so that everyone can enjoy the exhibitions in a safe and comfortable environment.
